COURT VICTORY
08.04.2025
The City Court of Copenhagen acquitted me of protests against the destruction of nature on Amager Fælled, based on my argument of necessity, i.e. that I am committing minor offenses to prevent far greater damage. THIS IS HUGE. I am very proud of this win, as well as grateful to all the beings helping and supporting me on the way. I defended myself in court.

My defense, appendices, verdict, photos and press release can all be downloaded here.
You are very welcome to use them as you please.
Here are some quotes from the verdict in my own translation:
“With regard to the danger criterion in the assessment of necessity, the court finds that at the time of the act there was a concrete threat to a protected habitat of significant importance, and that the damage in the form of permanent deterioration of the species' breeding and resting areas would be irreparable.” (with reference to the protected species Great Crested Newt) Verdict, p. 8.
"(...) all the conditions for exemption from punishment under Section 14 of the Criminal Code are met. There was a specific and imminent danger of damage to a protected natural resource, the action was appropriate and necessary to avert this damage, and the requirement of proportionality is met, as the offense appeared to be a proportionate and reasonable response to the threatened interest." Verdict, p. 9.
