MASK WORKSHOPS

Artist Randi Kjær taught us in my performance collective Becoming Species how to make masks out of paper maché. I have facilitated numerous mask workshops for both kids and adults. Its a magical way of connecting to a creature! You need to observe them closely in order to model the mask and paint it. Often conversations about our species and our connection to them happen while we build the masks.
